Workstations and Benching
Workstations –
An office workstation includes a desk, chair, computer, and essential tools like a phone, keyboard, and mouse. It supports productivity and comfort, providing a dedicated space for employees to focus on tasks. Workers organize their space with personal items, files, and supplies to stay efficient. These may also be known as office cubicles.
Benching –
In benching, multiple employees share long desks or “benches” in an open-plan layout. This setup encourages collaboration and optimizes space. Each person has a designated spot but works close to others, making communication and teamwork easier. Benching is common in modern offices that prioritize flexibility and collaboration.
